In Memory of Edward Alan Ripley Sr.

RIPLEY, SR., Rev. Edward Alan- Age 54 of Springfield. Born on August 22, 1955 in Lake Charles, LA and went home to be with his Lord on May 9, 2010. He was a beloved husband, father & minister of the gospel for over 30 years. For over 12 years he & his family hosted KICKS Kamp where hundreds of children & youth were mentored by him & came to know the Lord. He loved God's creation & loved to be outdoors whether in his deer stand or fishing at his pond. What he loved the most was spending time with his family, whether it was working on a job with them or sitting around the kitchen table enjoying a plate of his homemade spaghetti or a game of Pictionary. For many years he owned his own business, first as a truck driver and in recent years as a master craftsman. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 33 years, Debbie; his daughter, Rachael; his son, Alan and wife Amber, and his son, Ryan. He is also survived by his parents, Clyde & Beulah Ripley, brother Kenneth (Terry, Tony & Kelsey) & sister Faye Bell (Kaitlyn): his father & mother-in-law, Allen & Nellie Treadway and brother & sister-in-law Greg & Diane Treadway (Cortnie & Jennifer), along with many others who have shared his heart and his home. A Celebration of Ed's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Chapel with Rev. Jack L. Stone & other ministry friends officiating. Interment to follow at Cheatham Memorial Gardens, Pleasant View. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 - 8 p.m. & Thursday 10 a.m. until service.
